GIVE.

One of the best ways to pull ourselves out of a pot of negative feelings is to change our focus from ourselves to others.  Simple. Effective. Challenging.  It brings up the questions:  How much do you REALLY want to shift out of the negative?  Are you really willing to reach beyond yourself?

Jackie Dumaine from the Stillness Room (www.stillnessroom.com) posted the following on her Facebook page.  I think it’s a brilliant quote that gently offers ideas on how we can move beyond our myopic view and include all that surrounds us.

“Christmas gift suggestions: To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect.” ~ Oren Arnold

Might I also add a few more:  Look into the eyes of a stranger and smile.  Throw out some seeds for the birds.  Say a prayer for those around the world who are alone or face the horrors of war.  Walk past a loved one a place your hand on their arm.  Water your plants.  And on…and on……

Doesn’t sound like much?  Try it.  The results of a small, seemingly insignificant action outwards might just bring the lightness of step you’ve been longing for back into your life.

I wish you and your loved ones a holiday season full of Love, good food, laughter, warmth, and a million small miracles.  Merry Christmas, friends!  And to those who follow different traditions, Happy holidays!

A thousand Blessings,

Tabitha
